Impressionist Vision – American Civil War

If the 19^th Century European Impressionist masters painted images of the American Civil War with their dappled and imprecise brush strokes, I would like to imagine the creations would look something like these.  The rapid advances in camera technology at that time freed them from the restrictions of the past; both in subject matter and rendition. This is my take.
